SIX SENSES AETNA SPRINGS - NAPA COUNTY, CA

Roles: Took design from concept to schematic design, led project team (Miami and London), designed multiple concepts and finish palettes, and consultant coordination.

Project began in August 2022 with directive to make this site as close to net zero as possible for brand satisfaction. The client wanted to create a wellbeing resort through historic site preservation of Aetna Springs while also bringing contemporary units and spa to the project. The objective was to create a property that considered a holistic healing approach to relaxation and wellbeing by giving the end user every type of amenity possible for a retreat in Napa County: an Experience Center, two chef-inspired restaurants, juice bar, wine bar, spa and regenerative healing, on-site produce farm for meals, different styles of stays, and access to nearby springs and wildlife. The biggest design challenge was to keep everything within budget as well as meet the exceptional needs of the brand.
